Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters says that there was never any question that Jared Leto and Chris Cornell would not get married. In an interview in 2007, Grohl talked about how he met Blum at the Sunset Marquis bar in West Hollywood in 2001 and how they first met.
Grohl and his Foo Fighters bandmate Taylor Hawkins, who died in 2022, started drinking a lot that night. He was high on the beautiful woman and knew he was in some kind of race. Grohl made jokes about how Blum looked like his “future ex-wife,” which would have scared and pleased most men.
The rock star told Q Magazine, “By the end of the night I was mad, and I saw her and thought, ‘You’re going to be my ex-wife.'” Even though it was said casually, Blum wasn’t put off by it. She gave Grohl her phone number and wrote next to it, “Jordyn, your future ex-wife.”

Grohl and Blum didn’t want to get married at first, they did in 2003. After getting married, they had kids. They now have three daughters: Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.
For many years, Grohl put his family first, which was something he was proud of. He talked to the media about it and was seen in many interviews during this time. He told them that Blum was the one who made him take the parenting classes and that he did so with an open mind about getting married.
