Patrick Lewis Warrington, who was 38 years old and lived in Wilmington, North Carolina, died on September 15, 2024.
Patrick made many close friends as a child in Greenville, North Carolina. He deeply loved all games, especially basketball and baseball. During the 1998 Little League World Series, he appeared. Patrick got his associate’s degree in building management after moving to Wilmington.
His family and friends say he was devoted, caring, driven, humorous, and willing to forgive. There was another thing Patrick loved: animals. A lot of people will miss his kind and gentle ways.

Patrick’s daughter Sophie Warrington, the love of his life, his mother Melanie Warrington and stepdad John Wiens, the stepbrother Alex Wiens, the stepfather Tim Warrington and his wife Kim, the stepbrother Patrick Sullivan, stepsister Anna Sullivan, cousins Cody and Chris Warrington and Sophie’s mother Amber Warrington all survive him. He is also left by a huge group of close friends who always called him “my best friend.”
A memorial service will be held at Carlisle Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 1:00 PM. Rev. Jeff Manning will lead the service. The funeral will end with a burial at Greenwood Cemetery.
Donations can be made to the Big Paw Project instead of flowers. This is a non-profit that helps local rescues and shelters help needy animals in our area.
