Bob cherished his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In his free time, Bob enjoyed fishing at Corey Lake, hunting deer, ducks, and pheasant, and tending to his garden, where he grew a variety of tomatoes.

He was known for adopting wild raccoons, even naming one “Bandit.” Bob also had a soft spot for his pug, Sassy, and enjoyed spending time in nature. A funeral service was held on July 27, 2024, at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon, Michigan, where Bob received military honors.
